What are the main competitions that you have participated in and how did you get into bodybuilding?

I have competed in several bodybuilding and muscle models competitions. At the beginning of my journey in the bodybuilding competitions, I was able to breakthrough as a beginner and won four consecutive tournaments between Cairo region and the national competition. Many coaches and professional bodybuilders at that time expected a bright journey ahead for me as a bodybuilder, as I was considered one of the very few people that had the will and dedication to build such a physique at a young age (19 years old) and come first in four consecutive juniors competitions. After this significant achievement I had to pause in my journey as a bodybuilder in order to have time to focus on my engineering studies, as I was challenging myself to excel and achieve my best in both my sports and educational journeys. After a pause of three years in my  journey as a bodybuilder, I was able to come back to the competitive arena stronger than ever and won the Musclemania 2014 competition, I was thrilled with this accomplishment as this was my first international competition with a respected federation such as Musclemania federation. After my significant win in Musclemania Middle East, I was chosen to join the Egyptian national team and travel to the world championship, but unfortunately due to an injury I was not able to be at my best shape and travel. I continued my journey after my injury and got back in shape, participated in the Show 2015, being the youngest competitor in the tournament, was able to be in the top 8 chosen by the best physiques around the world. Currently I am preparing and doing my best for the upcoming youth world championship and for the first time I will be giving it a try in the men’s world championship.

Below is a list of the main competitions that I have participated in with my achievements as well:

-          1st Place Cairo region competition under 19

-          1st Place Cairo region competition under 21

-          1st Place Egypt national competition under 19

-          1st Place Egypt national competition under 21

-          1st Place Musclemania Middle East 2014

-          1st place Egypt cup 2015

-          The Show season 2015 top 8 winner.

How long do you spend training per week?

Mainly I spend around two hours per day training six days per week, always aiming at improving and becoming better. I never look at others and try to exceed them, I know I am not perfect, but I am always keen on bettering myself each day.

Who do you look up to as a role model?

I know this might seem a bit of a cliché, but my role model is Arnold Schwarzenegger. My choice is not only based on how this guy is a legend in bodybuilding, but also because he managed to become a successful person in all his aspects in life. He started as a bodybuilder and was able to become one of the best in the history of the sport. He then was able to become one of the best actors in Hollywood, all of this coming down to becoming the governor of California. He was able to succeed in every role he played in life. This is exactly what I aim for, becoming my best self in bodybuilding to trying to engrave my name down the history of the game, in addition to achieving the best I can in my field of study, Engineering. That is why I took a brief pause while competing, in order to maintain a proper balance and succeed in both my sports life and my career.

Do you follow a certain diet plan?

Each phase during my journey in this sport has its own diet plan, for example: My diet during competition mainly revolves around eating carefully with low calories to maintain a dry and shredded look with low body fat percent. While in the bulking phase I mainly focus on carb loading with a high protein intake in order to gain more lean muscle to get better and better for my upcoming competition. The one thing I always do is maintain a clean eating system throughout the whole year.
