The 4th Libyan International Motor Show

Tripoli International Fair Ground witnessed the grand opening of the 4th Libyan International Motor Show which was attended by Major Ali Al Mahmoudi, General Manager of the Libyan General Traffic and Licensees Authority, Board members of Libyan Automobile & Touring Club (Dr. Mohamed Al Shtewy, Dr. Ali Fares) with Eng. Ali Tawfik - Chairman of Egyptian Auto Feeders Association (EAFA) as guest of honour
The show took part in Tripoli Internationall Fair Ground from 2nd until 6th November 2010 and enjoyed large local and foreign participation. National pavilions from China, Egypt and Turkey joined this round of the show and there was also some individual participation from Tunisia and Germany.
Some big names such as Mercedes Benz, KIA, Libyana Mobile phone were present for the first time. This motor show is organised by Al Wigha Co for Exhibition Services and The Automobile and Touring Club of Libya and sponsored by Al Shararh Al Thahabia Oil services, Al Madar Al Gadid and Libyana Mobile phone. The organisers of the show chose Sports and Fitness Magazine to be the official English language media.

Interested Side Events at the Show:
LIMS 2010 had witnessed very successful events inside the motor show event itself, which attracted many participants and visitors:
• The 6th Classic Car Meeting, which had 52 cars from years 1955 to 1979 participating
• Karting races and Kart’s owners meeting.
• The 3rd Motorbike owners meeting
• Seminars and press conferences: Many seminars and press conferences had been organised throughout the showdays which received great reactionand large attendance especially Libyan Traffic progress, outlook on Egyptian Automotive & Automotive Feeding Industries and The future of electric vehicles in the Libyan life.

The 4th Libyan International Motor Show – a Meeting Point for Eastern and Western Specialists
The fourth round of the show saw great numbers of specialist visitors and businessmen from East and West. The show was a meeting point for those to follow up the latest technology offered in the market. Many interested specialists made contacts with exhibiting companies to start new business for their companies in Libya.

During the gala dinner of the show, the organising committee announced the winners of the show awards based on questionnaires to visitors and a special evaluation committee; the best awards went to:

- Best Interaction booth / cars with visitors: (VW& AUDI) and Mitsubishi
- Best Booth Design: Mercedes Benz
