Al Malki gets his first podium in Qatar International Road Racing but Alexander Cudlin does not go down.
The first race of the 3rd round of the Qatar International Road Racing turned out to be a great spectacle. The leader of the championship, the Australian Alexander Cudlin crashed in the second lap but could manage to rejoin the race at 14th position. He pushed his bike so hard lap by lap with excellent times including a time of 2.04 making the best lap at the 13th that
he finished in 3rd position.
The Qatari Nasser Al Malki with a BMW S1000RR who finished in first position had a very tight fight with Mishal Al Naimi who finished second, the difference was only 0.018.


‘I am very happy with this first podium appearance and I feel good with the BMW bike. I think I can push more, I just need to be in the race and keep the rhythm and times, Nasser Al Malki said at the press conference. In the second race of the day, the riders on the podium were the same but they changed positions. Alexander Cudlin was first from the beginning of the race and he
finished in first position. This time there was no hard battle between Mishal Al Naimi and Nasser al Malki, finishing second and third respectively. In this round, Mishal Al Naimi got the best time lap, He did 2.03.519 in the sixth lap. The podium trophies were given by Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Attiya and Mr. Rashid Al Sulaiti.


Mishal Al Naimi commented at the press conference “I will try the new bike for Moto2 in the QMMF Racing Team in the next days and I am very excited about that.” “In Moto2 category, QMMF has built their own team for the season and we just signed an agreement with Moriwaki company in Japan for the new chasis, the same chasis that Toni Elias won the championship last year. They will support us on the engineering and technical side and they will do screening with our mechanics to improve the level and prepare the bike” Nasser Khalifa Al Attiya said at the press conference. In the standings of the championship, Alexander Cudlin is leading with 141 points, Mishal Al Naimi is second with 120 and in third position is Nasser Al Malki with 105.


Frijns is back on the podium and an excellent début for the Jordan rider Ahmed Allouh in round 2 of Qatar National Road Racing
The car race was domintated from the beginning by Marwan Musabeh who had a fight with the winner of last championship, Rob
Frijns. Marwan was first and Rob Frijns came back to the podium again, being second completing the podium with Saadon Al Kuwari. ‘It is good to go back to the table at the press conference after the first round and it is clea that the competition this year is lot higher and the drivers are more consistent and I have to compete on that basis,” Frijns said at the press conference.
In the Production class, the Jordanian driver Ahmed Allouh was the winner of the category, in his first appearance in the championship. “I am very happy to be in the podium and I will continue the championship to see if I can manage to get the title at the end of the season. The level of the participants is very high but I will try my best to beat them,” Allouh said at the press conference. Jassim Al Maadeed was in second position and the Lebanese driver Wissam Assaf was third.
